Favorite things
This is a little stone that I bought years ago on Ocracoke Island, NC. It fills a small gap between two bricks along the edge of my patio. It's missing a small piece of glass, but that's ok with me. Every time I see it, I'm reminded of that vacation we took, so long ago when our children were small and our dreams were big.

Memories...Thank goodness we have fond memories to ponder.
Dreams...are free and occupy our minds in the midnight hours.
gotta love the little things that make us smile and bring back memories of time long gone.
That's beautiful. I'll bet it's a day-brightener whenever you see it.

It's lovely!

.. we too have little things that remind us of our travels happy ... sometimes even just a small stone or a leaf ... congratulations for your blog and your photos of flowers ... hello, mauri
This is not only beautiful, but I love it that it reminds you of a fun vacation. When I saw it, I though you had made it, which makes it the perfect souvenir.
And some comments for previous photos:
Nuthatch--A beautiful picture of a pretty little bird. Very sweet.
Honeysuckle--This is one of my favorite childhood memory scents as well! Beautiful capture of the bloom.
