I am curious yellow
Go ahead and call me crazy. I don't really care! I have an admitted fascination with fungi. I find them fascinating, and if anyone had ever told me years ago that I would be on the ground taking close-up pictures of mushrooms, I would have told them to 'shoot me now'.
I'm glad now that no one ever told me that.

Gorgous mushroom Kate.
I'm glad you go the extra mile to capture these wonderful photographs. Have a wonderful week.
Erin
I'm glad you do too, Erin. I love your photographs of what I consider to be one of, if not my most favorite state: Virginia.
You have a great week, too.
Ooooo...lovely color. I've never seen a yellow mushroom. The photo is well worth the extra effort and getting your clothes dirty (I do it too). Very pretty!
Ha, Kate.. I know what you mean. I took a few photos of some interesting mushrooms a couple of weeks ago. They'll be in a scheduled post in about about a week or so. This is a very cool one.. nothing like I've ever seen before.
Butbutbut... fungi *are* fascinating! What's crazy about that?
Great shot. :-D
A.
Such a pretty color. I like mushrooms/ fungi, and we've had so much rain, they are very abundant.
We have these here in Jersey, too! Wait till you see how big they get...
Love this photo. I took a few pics of them, too. But I never thought to use Pioneer Woman's actions on them. This looks marvelous and dreamy!
Thanks all. I've never seen a yellow mushroom, either.
Mary, I didn't use her actions. I adjusted the saturation slightly and used the burn tool around the edges of the picture. Nothing much, really.
In order for there to be mushrooms, there must be rain and down here in Georgia, we don't get much rain...and for that matter...no gasoline!
I love the color of the mushroom. It would look wonderful as a wall coloring. Do you think if I took a picture of that to my local Lowe's they could match it? Just kidding!
Very intriguing....looks almost unreal!
I too, love mushrooms! My Grandfather used to be a mushroom hunter. I just wish he would have 'shown me his secrets' (how he survived) it's risky business!
Great photo
