Are you up there, God?

Photobucket
I've decided not to do a Skywatch Friday post this week and this is the photo I would have used for it. I captured it yesterday with the macro lens, just before I took the picture of the yellow mushroom.
When I was a little girl and would see the sky like this, I'd always think that it looked as if God was peeking down on us. It just looks so beautiful, like I imagine heaven would look.

I always think exactly the same thing. I half expect God's hand to come reaching out, like in a Michaelangelo fresco...

Beautiful shot, Kate!

ahh.. a very beautiful shot. Don't you just love it when you're at the right place at the right time AND you have your camera?

Gorgeous! Just gorgeous! I love it when the sun shines through a "hole" in the clouds like that!

Simply beautiful. I often told my children what they were seeing was Jacob's ladder to heaven. My grown 27 year old son still makes this comment. It warms my heart.

It is good to to believe in something special and to send an idea of that out in the world.

Have a nice weekend.

Beautiful shot! It does evoke a feeling of reverence.
Hope you can feel His love today. (and everyday, can't leave that out.)

So nice...and almost as you can see the sun there like a head...

Reminds me about a well known picture from the Bible...
Nice weekend.

Ironic that you would have used this picture... miss you on sky watch... but I can understand a break. Love your crepuscular ray shot. Amazing the spiritual impact they have on people... must mean something.

Very nice. Indeed. It is dramatic to watch as the sunbeams try to penetrate the clouds. Awesome.

I just have to comment that I very seldom crop my pictures. I just take them like that. And publish them as they are. No cropping - just my view of things ;-)

Anyway I'm glad you like them. Thank you.

This is beautiful, and I used to think the same things. Sometimes even now I keep a photo that isn't terrific because of the brightness and rays in it to use as example for the kids at church.
