Where do YOU go when you need to visit your happy place? I close my eyes, or better yet, look at my photo files at my pictures of Ocracoke Island in North Carolina. This is A view of Silver Lake Harbor. Directly across from us is the old Coastguard building. And beyond that is nothing but water. This is where I live in my dreams.

Wow, what a beautiful spot, and a wonderful photo! :)
the perfect "happy place"...I, too, love the coast over living inland.

Can I borrow your happy place?
This is beautiful. I can see myself out on the dock fishing. That water is so calm.
Lovely dreamscape! The dock beckoning towards the tranquil waters.....wonderful.
If I dream of being somewhere else, its usually a high overlooking place like the bluffs above the Mississippi River. Obviously water is involved, too. What is it about water.....must be its connections to spirit.....
Thanks for the thought-promptings.
Hi Kate! I am so glad I found you through M.P. I do a picture a day on my blog as well. I have been looking for more people who do it as well. I was up last night looking for groups but didn't come up with anything interesting. Lucky me to come here.
This is a beautiful shot. You are an amazing photographer.

Very lovely. Serene. Calming. Mesmerizing. Peaceful.
I'm with dlyn...can I borrow your happy place?
My happy place...hmmm...my mind wanders off to Hawaii. Any part of the Islands will do. It is paradise.
oh my GOSH, I SO want to go there. That is just down right beautiful!
I have many happy places...home, ocean, snows of Colorado, Georgia mountains. Your happy place is lovely, Kate!
I think this could be anyone's happy place. Water does it for me. But it is also picturesque, and the lighting in this photo makes it all the better.
