Hello, little katydid
I saw this little katydid sitting on an empty pot in the yard. I don't know if any of you know this, but my nickname as a child was Katy. When I was 21, I changed it to Kate because it sounded more grown up and sophisticated to me. But my family and close friends still call me Katy.
I don't know which I like more now.

Awesome shot! There is something about getting close up to bugs that don't make them seem creepy anymore, almost comical. Great DOF!

Wow, just look at his (her?) eyes! I love this one, Kate! The colors, the composition... everything. :)
Happy weekend!
Hello, Katydid! I've so got to get a bettr camera and a macro lens!
Great picture. I think either name is fine. My daughters called my mom "Grandma Kate," so I like "Kate," but "Katy" is fun. Like you really care what a stranger things of what you call yourself!
Fantastic macro!!! Love the little tentacles in the front. Nice!
Very nice! I always enjoy your macro work. I'm a Nikon owner, too...but haven't invested in a macro lens yet. Would you mind sharing (maybe in your "About my Camera" area) what lenses you use? Might help us fence-sitters make a decision! :)
Very cool picture. I like katy better. Kate is more sophisticated though. :)
That is one cool picture! I love the yellow eyes.
I have a neice named Kaitlyn but we all call her Katy or Katybug. I think it's a cute name.
*hugs*
Oh, the poor bug.....always going crossed-eyed as he eyes his antennae...
