Sunrise, revisited

Sunrise in the mist
I was searching through my files this evening for sunrise or sunset photos because I could only enter one in PW's most recent Photo Assignment. I saw her post while at work this afternoon and by the time I got home, there were already over 22,000 submissions. And from what I saw, they are all beautiful. She has her work cut out for her with this one, let me tell you.
This was taken in May 2008 when things were still humming along in our lives and my husband was still employed. I remember being happy. And when I look back on it, it makes me feel good to see this pond in the morning mist with the sun coming up on what would be a beautiful day.
Oh, and I'm still happy. So no worries.

What an incredible photo Kate! You're such a great photographer. There may be 22,000 images to choose from but I think you have a good chance to make a showing. Good luck!

Wish I could have been there to see this view in person.

That is truly breathtaking, especially since it didn't roll out completely on my screen. And as I scrolled, I realized how stunning this photo was.

Sometimes I get terribly embarassed reading the comments. Seriously. It's just me, though.

Kate - you can enter one each day...I've been reading some of the comments on the flickr site, (I think that's where I read them.)

Again, you have a stunning shot! Care to share the post processing?

Nancy

No post processing for this one, other than a tiny amount of sharpening.

I just didn't think it warranted it.

Thanks so much, all.
