Solitary bloom
I was excited when the green shoots of daffodils began to push through the snow last month. But alas, we had no blooms. Not a single one. Until my husband pointed this one to me. And it makes me glad.

oh the yellow sweet daffy! nothing can be wrong looking at this!
Glad to know you captured the lone bloom.
Pure happiness.
That has happened to me in the past, too. The lawn guys cut down the daffodil leaves before they "ripened" and so the bulbs had no time to store food for the following year.
So glad you had at least one. Beautiful!
