I was excited when the green shoots of daffodils began to push through the snow last month. But alas, we had no blooms. Not a single one. Until my husband pointed this one to me. And it makes me glad.
That has happened to me in the past, too. The lawn guys cut down the daffodil leaves before they "ripened" and so the bulbs had no time to store food for the following year.
My name is Kate. I live in Maryland with a border collie named George in an old manor house that predates the Revolutionary War. I began this blog in 2007 to share my photography with my family and friends. Welcome.

Glad to know you captured the lone bloom.
Pure happiness.
