Red Finch

Photobucket
I couldn't resist posting this picture in the cropped and larger version of the one I posted yesterday on my regular blog. I love these fine feathered friends, don't you?

I don't have red finches, but have house finches. Mine are a bit annoying in that there are dozens which sometimes inhibits other birds from coming. BUT, they are so happy and cheerful!

The bird really stands out in contrast to the bare branches! Beautiful photo!

Funny - we get them in the spring by the dozens but they are gone during the summer. Such vivid color!

I used to laugh at my grandmother when I was a little kids because she was such a bird watcher. I didn't understand how she could watch a bird at her feeder instead of wanting to play with a puppy or something.
But now I find myself mesmerized by them all the time. Great shot. I like it cropped his way.

Love this! We have what are called purple finches instead of red finches. But they are RED. Who knows... Love your bird shots.

Such a pretty shot -- I love the way he stands out against the gray branches.
