Wake up, little sleepyhead

Photobucket

I noticed this morning that the Black-Eyed Susans are beginning to bloom. I just thought they looked so interesting close-up like this. The Black-Eyed Susan is the Maryland state flower, designated so in 1918. They are probably the best known of the Coneflowers, so named due to the cone shape of their center. I'm just so full of facts today.

Kate: Love your photos (over here from PW's site), but was wondering is it intentional that they are cut off on the right-hand side, probably because of the column setting? Only saw the body of the foal below; head missing. I'm using Firefox, if that makes any difference.

And did you know it's illegal to pick them in Maryland?
My aunt, another Marylander, told me that!

Glorious photo, BTW.

Jan from San Fran, YES I think that Firefox makes a difference. If you've got Explorer, try it with that.
If anyone else has this problem, please let me know. I can make these a bit smaller.
I can't use Firefox with Blogger. It's almost impossible to post. Is anyone else having this problem?
