Wow, amazing shot! Great composition, too. Hey Kate, I don't know if it is just on my computer, but the text on your sidebars is cut off at the right side of the page... Just thought I'd mention it... xoxo, Mary
Awesome shot!!! How did you do it? I mean, did you use your focus brackets and focus on the the little guy? What aperture did you use? Basically, what's your EXIF data on this shot, if you don't mind me asking? I want to learn to take better macros shots and this one is so inspirational.
Jessica, I sent you an e-mail. But for those who are also interested, it's really rather embarassing:
Yes, I used my focus brackets. I had everything set to automatic, too. I am so lazy, aren't I? Landscape setting on the auto dial and the auto focus was turned on.
Um, that's it. I don't even remember what the speed and f stop was, and am sorry.
My name is Kate. I live in Maryland with a border collie named George in an old manor house that predates the Revolutionary War. I began this blog in 2007 to share my photography with my family and friends. Welcome.

Holy you-know-what! What is that? [great shot Kate!]
Wonderful close-up of something......does he have 8 legs?
He's got 6 legs from what I could see, Jeannelle. He sure looks like some sort of spider, though. Very tiny.
Thanks, Dlyn!

LOL I don't think I'd want that thing to pass me anything.
It's a great shot though. As was mentioned above the composition is perfect.
*hugs*
Oh my goodness! It's gorgeous! Definitely has personality in the pose. Fabulous shot.

I won't hazard a guess as to what this critter is except to say that it's a beauty, if you like that sort of thing. You've got a great eye!
