I saw these little yellow flowers while on a walk with George this evening before dinner. I think I surprised the bee. I just want to be in my happy place (see below). With no worries. Wouldn't that be sweet? Sweeter than honey, I'd say.
A busy bee is always fascinating to watch. This is a great picture.
I have also read the book "The Secret Life of Bees", but would you believe me - I didn't like it that much. At times I found it somewhat boring, although the story is both fragile and hard. Anyway, I look forward to read more of the author's novels.
Love you blog and your pictures. Keep up the good work!
Gorgeous. Your photos always take me to a happy place. Wouldn't it be great if we could all just go away for a day or two together and make one big, awesome girls only happy place?! *hugs*
My name is Kate. I live in Maryland with a border collie named George in an old manor house that predates the Revolutionary War. I began this blog in 2007 to share my photography with my family and friends. Welcome.

Ahh...the life of bees. The Secret Life of Bees. Did you read that? I did. Loved it. Can't wait for the movie to come out this Holiday season.
I loved that book.
This bee looks so still and peaceful, not what you think of when you think of a bee.
It's a beautiful picture.
Beautiful lighting for that bee, Looks like he's ready for his closeup. :)
Hope you get to your happy place.
