Thoughts of the past

Photobucket

Just playing around on the computer and reading the history of this area during The Philadelphia Campaign 1777-1778. Yeah, I know. It's super exciting here!
But I love it.
This afternoon, I drove to the mall using the Old Post Road (Old Baltimore Pike), past Cooch's Bridge where the British and Continental armies had a skirmish. History is so interesting.
And Macy's was having a big sale.

When my daughter was in school if she was absent on a Wednesday all her friends knew it was the Macy's One Day Sale.....those were our little mental health days....she didn't do too bad by missing school, she ended up a lawyer....

I think you can take Route 1 all the way to Florida....I bet there are lots of big sales on it along the way. By the way, I think Post was the first Sec. of Transportation, right? Each town in CT calls it a different name...

You are too funny! I can't laugh, though, because I'm a shopaholic, and a bit of a history geek, too. ;)

Love the simplicity and the colors. Really nice autumnal image.

Now that's what I call balance. Rich history and sale shopping!

I completely agree. I think that history is fascinating. It's like a huge story book. Hope you got something wonderful at Macy's. They have the best sales.
*hugs*
