I'm moulting . . . moulllll-ting . . .
This morning, we drove to Bombay Hook Nature Center in Delaware where we saw lots of snow geese and other birds. The tide was super low. And it was my husband that spotted this Great Blue Heron, who, upon closer inspection, was found to be moulting.

Nice shot, even if it's a moulting bird. Glad you were able to get out for a nature drive.
I am particularly drawn to the foliage. Did you enhance this with PS or is that ole natural? It looks as though it is painted...beautiful!
Yes, I will admit that I enhanced it. But I only did it because when it came out of the camera, it was faded and gray and not at all like it looked in person! So I made it more saturated and added the edging. Maybe it's too much. But everything is too much.
Great photo. Heron's are such interesting birds.
My chickens are molting...the coop looks like a few feather pillows exploded in it and the birds look like pin cushions with all of their new quills coming in.
the heron is awesome...they are such stately birds. great shot.
That is amazing!!! Beautiful shot!
Herons are so cool. We've had several around here though the spring and summer and they still live around the creek where Frank lives. They're great birds.
No, it's not too much. I love the contrast in the foliage...it's as though you can see brush strokes...no..no..no..you created the right balance of subject and your eye!
I love it! Enhancement and all;)
What a cool picture...
