Bittersweet and old lace
Much better than arsenic and old lace, isn't it?
I know that bittersweet is beautiful in the fall, but it's extremely detrimental to trees, for it has the capability of felling giants. Bittersweet will strangle a tree, eventually killing it. But let's not dwell on that aspect, shall we? Let's just enjoy it in a vase, next to a curtain of old lace.

Beautiful!
I've never seen bittersweet. I think it may be an East Coast plant. Or I've had my eyes shut all of my life - which is highly possible!
I wish I could get some to put in the wreath on my front door. That stuff is just divine!
what a pretty contrast between the wild bittersweet and the very proper lace curtain. :)
That looks wonderful - I love the way one branch spirals off to the left. I had no idea about bittersweet. To me that either described a mood.. or chocolate!
You've captured it wonderfully! Love that curly-cue on the left.
Very lovely. I see George is in your Etsy ad....very cute....=)
Lovely photo, Kate. I didn't realize that bittersweet was a strangler. It surely looks beautiful here.
I don' think bittersweet grows this far north. It is lovely though and this is a wonderful composition.
I am in a constant battle with bittersweet. It's just so pretty. Guess that's why it is bittersweet....Beautiful shot;)
