Pansy after the rain
This was my final submission for Pioneer Woman's 'Shallow Depth-of-Field' photo assignment. It wasn't chosen as one of the finalists but I have no qualms about that. At all! The submissions she chose are absolutely breathtaking.
I'm taking a few days off and will be back after the weekend. Have a good one, all!

Beautiful none the less!
Wow! Need I say it should have been chosen. What a wonderful and sensitive artist you are. Your work always delights me. Have a wonderful Valentine's Day!
Kate, this is so tender and artistic.
I don't know what kind of flower it is, but my mother always grew purple irises, and this photo brings memories of her back to me this morning.
Don't you love looking at all the submissions? I don't know how some of those photographers do it. I agree with one of PW's commenters who said, "I'm torn between hanging up my camera for good and strapping it on right now to go out and practice more."
Amazing! And I love Pansies...mine sometimes bloom under the snow in my flowerbed...I consider it a "gift" in Winter :-)
