Artwork along a street in New Orleans

Artwork along a street in New Orleans
I was looking through my photos of a trip I took last summer to see friends who live in Mississippi. We took a day trip to New Orleans and had lunch and walked around the streets. These framed paintings were so bright and welcoming that I had to snap a few pics. I loved the giraffes.

Very colorful and would have made a great post for Color Carnival. I, too, thin the giraffes are way cool.

so much joy in this photograph...even in places that are devastated by overwhelming circumstances the human spirit cannot be snuffed out. So to with my favorite place-imaginations, seated in the human heart. I find this to be quite inspiring.
