Indian corn

Indian Corn
Indian corn from my husband's garden. I'm trying to slowly get back to updating this blog. This morning I decided to open some pictures I'd taken before my surgery last week. For this shot, I used Michelle Black's Vintage Mod on the photo, then applied two different textures. One is from Joy St. Claire, a freebie she offered and the other is Antique Liasons from Flypaper Textures. My husband grows indian corn every year and uses it to decorate. I like that about him.

Pink Clouds

Pink Clouds
I've found some fun new textures. They're from Florabella and there are some wonderful tips that come with the generous set I purchased today. For this photograph, I used an artistic filter on the rose itself, then applied Florabella's Allure square (normal blend mode) 21% and Patina square (normal blend mode) 18%.
Thank you, Mary, for introducing me to these!

Handblown glass

Glassblowm pumpkins

This shop in the French Quarter of New Orleans had all sorts of cool items and the air conditioning was a welcome relief. I asked permission to shoot some photos and just walked around taking pictures of things I liked.
Ghostbones texture applied.

Lives for frisbees

Lives for frisbees
As I write this, he's asleep at my feet. But he played all day and this is one of his very favorite games.
Photo by husband. Processing and SheIsPretty Stock Texture added by me. And love. There's always that.

Fountainhead

NYC Trip-37
I shot this inside a florist shop on Amsterdam Ave. in NYC last weekend. I wasn't going to post it but a comment from someone on my flickr photostream changed my mind.
The texture I used is Gold Amber Swirl Paper by EnchantedGirl stock on Deviant Art.

I love seashells

I like seashells
Though inland far we be,
Our souls have sight of that immortal sea
Which brought us hither.

Bright spot in my day

Hello honey

I love tulips. Especially when they are delivered to me at work and they're from my sons. SheIsPrettyStock texture applied.

Gratitude

Springtime blooms

Is that an asparagus in your pocket?

Is that an asparagus in your pocket?
Or are you just happy to see me?
I know that I'm weird. But I yam what I yam. I mean, as long as we're talking vegetables here.

White or pink? Only time will tell.

Dogwood branch

After all, I don't see why I am always asking for private, individual, selfish miracles when every year there are miracles like white dogwood.

Little miss shy

Little miss shy

Do you really think that I cannot see you peeking from behind the feeder? Well I can, you know. And you are very pretty.
Actually, this photo was taken using continuous shutter and she was caught in the blink of an eye.
Used snow texture from SheisPrettyStock at DeviantArt.
