It's beginning to look a lot

It's beginning to look a lot
Like winter. And Christmas. I took this photo this evening, wanting to capture the lights my husband strung on the widow's walk. I love having them to greet me when I come up the driveway after a long day. Two textures applied, to help with the fact that the photo is rather on the fuzzy side: Skeletalmess' Arctic Chill [link] as well as a snowflake texture by D Sharon Pruitt on Flickr [link]. Sorry, they're not real. But that is real snow on the roof and the ground.
Big storm a-comin' from the west. Take care with that.

Love the single light in the window -- so warm and inviting with that snowy scene!

The not-quite-sharp-ness creates a very dreamlike feel methinks...and I agree with Mary about the warm & inviting light in the window. And the lights on the widow's walk, being so high, are like a beacon...

dang, one of these days I'm gonna learn textures, very inspiring!

That looks so homey.I love the snow effect.I would like to peek in that window I bet I would see a steaming dragonfly cup filled tea and some fuzzy lamb slippers on a foot stool a black and white velvety dog sleeping on the rug in front of the fire and a curly red headed lady smiling and content
