Weekly dose of George
Taken by my husband this afternoon, we have George looking up. This is something he does a lot due to the large squirrel population on the property.
I want to tell you that before I left for work this morning, my husband came inside to tell me that he hadn't seen George for awhile. By the time I got out to the car, George had returned home and was covered from the top of his head to the end of his tail, in something putrid that he had rolled in. Needless to say, a bath was planned. And when I got home today, I was greeted by the wonderfully good-smelling dog that you see above.

Wonderful shot...he really is a photogenic dog! And he looks so clean and fluffy too :) Nothing is worse than a putrid smelling dog (although I bet George would say otherwise!).
He's so cute.
Man oh man, George, that look is INTENSE...and the way you're holding that paw, like you're ready to jet off in a flash...
We should count our blessings (or some blessings) every day, so today I think I will be grateful for the fact that I am not a squirrel living in your territory.
Nighty night George, sleep well Squirrel Warrior.
he's such a boy, isn't he? so cute but ewww, the stinky bath is never fun
I can't say it enough...he's one handsome dog...
Well George looks like he is trying to figure out a way to get that very large squirrel! Lets hope he stays away from the stinky stuff too....he is much to handsome to be rolling in icky stuff.
Oh, naughty (but so much fun for him) George. Our dogs just love the stinky, smelly, icky-poo stenches - don't they though?
Glad he's fluffy clean now, Kate. I'd love to cuddle him up :)
As are all of your photos, great composition. And a beautiful dog.
this made my day...dogs are life ya know!?
The more stinky it is, the more they like it.
Pretty boy.
He needs his own Facebook fan club like Gustav the goose has
I second what Daryl says. And can he come to Connecticut in December? Please?
I think it's just in the nature of the Border Collie to be photogenic. We are on our second border collie, and love their temperament, energy, happiness and loyalty. Great blog - I enjoy reading about your adventures! Thanks for a fun start to my day.
Splendid...I just love me some Borders...miss mine...smiles.
Aww, he's such a cutie!
They do love the squirrels don't they.
Lily will 'tree' a squirrel and then sit there and wait, and wait, and wait in hopes of that squirrel coming down. No such luck yet, instead they sit up there giving her hell. LOL!
He has my vote for the Next America's Top Model...man does he take a good shot!
I would love to give him a BIG HUG and a scratch!
