Cricket on the hearth
One day a couple of weeks ago, I went to the front door and looked out. We have a little broom that sits by the door on the porch out here and sitting on the top of the broom handle was this little cricket.
So I did what anyone with a camera would do, then opened it up in Photoshop and added Pioneer Woman's seventies action. I think because I was feeling groovy at the time.
I love feeling groovy.

Groovy is good...very very good :)
I love that action, and your photo has such beautiful light in it! And everybody knows crickets are good luck, so maybe you should be buying a lottery ticket or something...
i love groovy too
great macro
Groovy is very good... and the details are fabulous!
Intelligent click because if broom word was not mentioned I would have thought it is for sitting where the cricket is relaxing.
Nice pic Kate !!
Great picture. Looks like Mr. Cricket is missing an antenna.
By jiminy, that's a good cricket!
Cool shot!
I love PW's Seventies action. I think it's nearly perfect for all my outdoor shots of the boys.
And I used to say groovy a lot in the late 80s. Until this guy I worked with started saying it. Not groovy. :)
Now I have that song stuck in my head! Great capture. Did you use a long lens or was he a brave cricket and sit still for a macro lens?
Such a handsome cricket!
Groovy is good.
