View from top of Pemetic Mountain, Maine
No, I'm not in Maine. Just wishing I was, that's all. Found this while going through my photo files from our last visit in 2007. My husband and I hiked up one of the most difficult trails I've ever been on, to the top of the Pemetic Mountain at Acadia National Park. What a wonderful view! I think this is Echo Lake we can see. I think my feet still hurt from that hike, too.

The natural beauty of it is stunning. Great capture!
Oh that looks so wonderful! Flat Florida just doesn't compare.
What a great view, I'd say the hike was worth it!
It looks like a tranquil view to take in well worth the effort
a beautiful capture.
so love maine.
I bet it was breath taking (the view and the hike).

GAH, I am exhausted thinking about climbing down never mind up
WOW! That is a stunning view! I would gladly suffer sore feet for the chance to see that!
That trail was closed when we were there. They had a fledgling pair of falcons and didn't want anyone to disturb the nest. They nest right on the rock ledges with no nest!
incredible, looks like it is so worth the hike but then again I haven't done it. Thanks for taking us there, I am hardly even winded:)
sigh
what a magical view..looks like a perfect day
I had told my husband I wanted to head up that way this summer but so far we haven't had time.
Glad you made that climb! And you have the picture to prove it! I'm sure it must have been beautiful in Acadia.
Stunning shot Kate!
My husband and I hiked it last yeat (2008) the view is Jordan Pond and it was wonderful. We were suppose to take an easier trail and made a wrong turn somewhere. It was a difficult climb as we are not in the best shape anymore, but worth the views.
