And what do you think of this black background? I tried it on a whim, never having used it before and I'm feeling a little like I'm in a cave here. Or maybe it's just me.

I sometimes think about making my blog background black because it really does make the photos stand out, yet I just can't seem to do it. I think it looks wonderful on your page though so maybe I'll give it a shot.

George looks like he just asked you if he could come to MPM's for the weekend. Not a big fan of the black...it is a contrast to your beautiful shots, but it is almost too stark and may take away from the ethereal quality so many of your posts have....my two cents. Devalued in today's dollar to a penny;)

I have read that black is the best background for photos...but I am still on the fence about that and I haven't liked the looks of my own site with a black background...
ah..black..no..not my thing...just my failed opinion...
but George is a doll!!! Does he get along with cats???
