White-throated sparrow
A Sparrow took a Slice of Twig
And thought it very nice
I think, because his empty Plate
Was handed Nature twice--
Invigorated, waded
In all the deepest Sky
Until his little Figure
Was forfeited away--
~ Emily Dickinson, c.1872

Beautifully illustrated poem!
Heavy sigh. Perfect.
Wow, perfect words. Love the sparrow too.
Absolutely perfect!!! Love the composition, and the lines of the branches. Beautiful!
The detail in the sparrows feathers really stands out. Lovely shot.
Yes, I was thinking, too....great composition. The glows with light and the branches are situated just right. How nice of the little fellow to pose there for you....or did your husband take this? He's a bird photographer....
Sorry.....I meant "the SPARROW glows with light.....
