The shape caught my eye when I saw this on the grass at our rental cottage in Maine. I wondered how it escaped being crushed with the heavy weight of snow. I love the swirls.
This leaf looks like it's covered with spun sugar. And baybee it's cold outside on this beautiful morning in Maryland. Yesterday's muddy trail is now a crunchy frozen one. I love January. Seriously. I do. Michelle Black's Vintage Mod action applied; old Ghostbones (now SkeletalMess) texture as well. (The same one I used on the female cardinal, below).
I love the shape of the leaf to the right center. Florabella's Retro Vintage action @90%; Florabella's Patina (cool) overlay @17%; SkeletalMess' Tone Texture-9 overlay @46%. Photo by husband, who didn't think it was all that and a bag of chips (like I did).
I saw these leaves while I was walking today and had to go get my camera. I loved how dark the background was against the golden tones. I ran two actions from Totally Rad on them: Rusty Cage 40% and Oh Snap! 20%. Another beautiful fall day here in Maryland. Have a great weekend, all!
My name is Kate. I live in Maryland with a border collie named George in an old manor house that predates the Revolutionary War. I began this blog in 2007 to share my photography with my family and friends. Welcome.
