Finches at feeder

Finches at feeder
I figured out what was wrong with me and the lens. I removed the polarizing filter and voila! I could focus. I don't know what my problem was, but am now loving this borrowed lens. And speaking french.
Ghostbones texture applied.

Someone at the camera store told me that having a filter on the lens was like leaving the plastic on the sofa. But......if you knew me, you would realize that I need the protection of the filters. Always banging into something.

Great shots.

So pretty. I like your use of textures.

I quit the filters a while back. Used to use them on all my lenses, but one day decided I didn't like them, images were nicer w/out. I still use the circular polarizing lens from time to time (w/ bodies of water or windows, to reduce glare) but that's it. Oh, sometimes I'll use a neutral density filter when doing slow shutter work (waterfalls etc.).
