Looking up

Tome School/Hill School Tour 19
Not a very creative title post, I know. But I'm glad that the person who designed this column was creative. I love these architectural details.
Taken at the old school I visited on the tour a couple of weekends ago. Cheers, all!

Beautiful column, great detail. I love the little bit of sky in the photo too.

Corinthian. Right? 8th grade art history never leaves you...

wonderful perspective, and juxtaposition of hard stone against soft sky...

OK, that sounds so clinical...

I just love it, Kate. Great shot!

Kathy, I love the design of your page. The title page alone is elegant. Kudos to your designer because I love the calligraphic writing; I was wondering how did you do it. Blogger's designs do not have that kind of font.

Also, this photo you have posted is well focused to the object of your interest. I do admire the intricate sculptural design around the pillar below the roof.

Great architectural subject! You should be proud of your photographic skills.

Well, thank you all. I guess it's Corinthian, MP, if you say so. and Bonnie, I did the header myself in Photoshop. The font is Scriptina. It was a free download. Thanks!

Beautiful details. They don't make things like that anymore, do they.
